FIGURES: The Biden-Harris Campaign Is Selling Face Masks — And They’re as Fake as the Candidates and Won’t Protect You

The Joe Biden – Kamala Harris campaign is selling “protective” face masks.

Except they’re not protective.

They won’t prevent the transmission of viruses.

They’re as fake as Joe and Kamala.  And like Joe and Kamala they won’t protect you.

In a bit of irony the official campaign masks of Biden Harris have warnings they don’t prevent transmission of viruses!

The Trustbuster’s Fatal Conceit

After more than a yearlong investigation into America’s largest tech companies, Reps. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) and David Cicilline (D-R.I.) finally released the long-awaited House Judiciary’s Majority Staff Report on antitrust. Not surprisingly, the report calls for substantial new oversight and stringent antitrust enforcement by both the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission. While offering few new empirical demonstrations of economic harm, it calls for remaking the nation’s antitrust laws out of whole cloth. This includes abandoning the current consumer welfare standard in favor of sweeping new mandates, from structural separation to a revival of the essential facilities doctrine. Indeed, it appears that the committee has dusted off the industrial policy playbook abandoned years ago to reassert the government’s power over markets.

Just how far does the committee report go in revamping the antitrust laws? In short, it ticks every box on a regulator’s wish list. The report outlines a host of draconian mandates, including new rules on nondiscrimination and self-preferencing, new interoperability requirements, and a presumptive prohibition against future mergers by dominant platforms. It also includes other recommendations that are more ambiguous but just as expansive, such as a return to the anti-monopoly crusade spawned by the Sherman and Clayton Acts, which created the original framework for antitrust enforcement (over the objections of most economists at the time). The committee’s renewed antitrust zeal includes new protections for “nascent competitors” as well as prohibitions on monopoly leveraging and other practices considered anticompetitive.

All of this is coupled with an oversized federal presence for enforcement, from greater congressional oversight to enhancing the powers of both the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission through expanded budgets, more onerous reporting requirements, and an invigorated use of merger retrospectives.

Perhaps the most telling point in the proposed antitrust overhaul is the effort to topple the consumer welfare standard as the foundation for antitrust policy. Rather than protecting individual firms, the consumer welfare standard focuses enforcement on promoting efficient market outcomes. For consumers, this is measured by lower prices, more innovation, and more choices in the marketplace. The consumer welfare standard emerged more than 40 years ago and its emphasis on economic efficiency and competition rationalized antitrust policy. This replaced decades worth of antitrust enforcement that was often arbitrary and contradictory, generating less than optimal outcomes and prohibiting practices that were actually innovative and efficient.

To the consternation of politicians, demonstrating that today’s big tech platforms inflict economic harms that require enforcement action proves challenging under the consumer welfare standard. Consumers enjoy many products for free, innovation remains high, and consumer choice continues to expand. The continued development of the Internet of Things and new 5G technologies promise even greater consumer benefits—hardly a smoking gun for inefficient monopolies in need of regulation.

The fervor of today’s antitrust populism is nothing new; recurring waves of such sentiment date back to at least the original era of trustbusting. Yet the intrusive market interventions historically endorsed by antitrust firebrands have yielded questionable results in the marketplace. Going back to the early trustbusters, it is not even evident that the policies they pursued were aimed at helping consumers. In fact, economists such as Tom DiLorenzo have found that output was increasing and prices were falling in the major industries targeted by antitrust regulators. Moreover, these larger firms were innovating in ways that enhanced economic efficiency and benefited consumers.

In fact, the evidence suggests that John Sherman, father of the Sherman Antitrust Act, had little interest in protecting consumers or promoting economic efficiency. Werner Troesken, an economic historian, examined Sherman’s correspondence during the debate over antitrust and found “in light of his letters, and the other historical sources considered here, his actions are inconsistent with the idea that he wanted to promote competition and lower prices.” Rather, Sherman acted to protect the particular interests of a group of smaller, inefficient businesses that were having a difficult time adapting to dynamic and innovative changes in the marketplace.

Nonetheless, the House majority report views this type of government intervention as the epitome of antitrust policy, jettisoning the consumer welfare standard for the political power to protect specific competitors and shape markets as Congress deems fit. In this world, consumer welfare is ancillary to the political preferences of antitrust enforcers, a result drawn out in the work of economist Bob Tollison. His initial research examined antitrust enforcement in the era prior to the rise of the consumer welfare standard and found no correlation between enforcement activity and efforts to mitigate the welfare losses of monopoly. Indeed, his later research found congressional influence to be a better predictor of enforcement activity by federal regulators.

The House antitrust report typifies a fatal conceit highlighted by Nobel Prize-winning economist Friedrich Hayek. While legislators and regulators in Washington, D.C., presume they can design the ideal market, they lack the information necessary to do so. Policies designed and imposed on markets by regulators cannot grasp the vast and dispersed knowledge that underlies a dynamic market. Consequently, Hayek cautioned against such industrial planning: “The curious task of economics is to demonstrate to men how little they really know about what they imagine they can design.” The unintended consequences of excessive market interventions can hamper rather than promote innovation and economic activity.

Not only does more aggressive and political antitrust enforcement open the door to harmful policies from the perspective of consumers, but it also places regulators at the hub of economic decision making. Permissionless innovation is clearly threatened by a shift towards a “mother may I” approach of requisite regulatory approval. Instead of competing to better serve consumers, firms will now have to defend themselves in front of regulators who will determine whether their actions unfairly affect other competitors. Other countries have tried this approach—indeed, it is the hallmark of European industrial policy—where protecting favored competitors can be more important than consumer welfare.

This has generated billion-dollar judgments against the major American tech companies as the EU seeks to shelter European companies from more efficient foreign rivals. But it may also be a reason why the innovative Big Tech platforms emerged and thrived in the United States rather than Europe. Abandoning the consumer welfare standard increases the role of the administrative state, creates greater incentives for rent-seeking and unproductive behavior, and imposes real costs on consumers.

This highlights a major flaw in the “big is bad” approach to antitrust. Namely, the big tech platforms accused of monopolizing markets actually may be large because they are efficient, and they offer consumers what they want on terms that consumers like. Several studies have demonstrated that larger firms can be more efficient and more innovative. Economist Harold Demsetz, for example, found that efficiency rather than market power was a better predictor as to why large firms were more profitable than smaller firms. Absent measures of consumer harm, plans to regulate the tech sector threaten some of America’s most efficient and innovative companies with little evidence to suggest that antitrust enforcers can generate a superior outcome.

Sadly, the Republicans’ response to the majority report cedes far too much ground to the Democratic reformers. While falling short of endorsing such recommendations as breaking up companies or prohibiting mergers and acquisitions, the Republican response potentially opens the door for weakening the current consumer welfare standard in favor of more discretionary antitrust enforcement. This position is not surprising; a looser standard for antitrust enforcement would enable enforcement actions against Big Tech for a litany of alleged abuses compiled by Republicans that have nothing to do with economic efficiency or monopolistic practices. These include issues such as an alleged content moderation bias against conservative views and weak privacy protections.

But antitrust policy cannot be used to cure all social ills, nor was it ever meant to. Trying to shoehorn every policy concern and every outcome into a question of antitrust does far more harm than good. Other laws have been passed to address such issues, and if they are found lacking Congress has the prerogative to revisit them or create new laws. But it is not the role of antitrust enforcement to address such wide-ranging concerns.

It is also worth noting that to avoid being cast as naysayers unwilling to address the problem, many Republicans respond with a common refrain calling for additional funding for the antitrust enforcement agencies. A major antitrust overhaul is not required, the argument goes; just provide the enforcement agencies with the resources they need to do their job. Yet this assumes that these enforcers are generating efficient results. If, in fact, these agencies are impeding legitimate economic activity and innovation, then additional resources will only amplify the scope of these harms while doing nothing to address the efficiencies or inefficiencies of current antitrust policy. A case in point may be the Department of Justice’s recently announced investigation of Google for allegedly using anticompetitive practices to protect its dominance in search.

The majority report’s call for a major rework of our nation’s antitrust policies will ultimately create a larger regulatory infrastructure that will hamper innovation and reduce consumer welfare on many levels. By abandoning the consumer welfare standard, this report wants to upend legal precedent and start anew with sweeping new policies for enforcement activities by federal regulators. Less competitive markets will yield higher prices and less efficiency, and investment in new technologies will be more challenging given new regulatory risks that must be incorporated in investment decisions. Startups may find funding more difficult in this environment.

Finally, it is important to remember that while tech is today’s poster child for antitrust reform, the proposed antitrust overhaul will reach far beyond the technology sector. All American companies will be forced to play by the new rules and the stifling effects of stricter enforcement will affect the entire U.S. economy. The House majority report demonstrates a clear preference for regulation over markets. Yet history suggests there are real limitations to this approach. Perhaps it is best to heed Hayek’s warnings before attempting to redesign some of the most innovative and dynamic markets in the world.

Two Types of Postal Banking

Should the U.S. Postal Service get into the banking business? U.S. Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) and Bernie Sanders believe it should, and have introduced the Postal Banking Act. The idea is that with 8.4 million unbanked American households, banks are doing a bad job of serving low-income people. If the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) began offering banking services, it may be able to reach these people.

Lawrence White and Diego Zulugua have criticized the idea of the USPS entering the banking business. But I want to take a different approach with this article. Let’s assume that the advocates of postal banking are right. Banks are failing to reach many American families. And let’s also agree that getting an agency like the USPS involved could help solve the problem.

Even if we accept Gillibrand and Sanders’s premises, we can still disagree with their vision for postal banking. That’s because there are actually two ways to implement postal banking. The version that most advocates envision involves upgrading the USPS’s 30,000+ offices to offer in-branch banking services. But a less-discussed option is to provide a product that doesn’t rely on branches at all: a USPS prepaid debit card. I’m going to argue in favour of the second option.

Senators Gilliband and Sanders want the USPS’s 30,000+ offices to offer checking accounts, savings accounts, small dollar loans, debit cards, ATMs, check-cashing services, and bill payment. Consider what this would involve. All 30,000+ offices would have to be kitted out with new hardware and banking software. ATMs would have to be installed. Employees would have to become proficient not only in mail handling, but also the business of banking. More front-line workers would have to be hired to provide banking services.

The regulatory burden would increase too. USPS currently sells money orders, and so its employees are trained in basic anti-money laundering (AML) prevention. But bank-level AML is stricter, and so the USPS’s entire workforce would have to be retrained.

A USPS prepaid debit card may be a better option.

A common reason for implementing postal banking is to solve the “banking desert” problem. That is, people often live in ZIP codes without bank branches, and that may explain why they are unbanked. Mobilizing the USPS’s 30,000+ branches seems like it would be a great way to solve this problem.

But the banking desert problem is a myth, a point highlighted in a recent article by Diego Zuluaga. In the 2017 National Survey of Unbanked and Underbanked Households, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) finds that only 9.2% of the unbanked cite “inconvenient locations” as a reason for their status. Meanwhile, 52.7% cite lacking enough money to keep in an account while 30.2% say they do not trust banks. Indeed, New York City has a higher unbanked rate than the national average despite lacking even a single banking desert.

But if the USPS’s 30,000+ convenient locations aren’t a key ingredient for reaching the unbanked, why spend so much money activating and maintaining a physical postal banking network?

The USPS’s prepaid debit card would do almost everything that a regular checking account does, but without branches. It would have an optional high-yielding savings account attached to it. A website and mobile app would allow online access.

USPS cards would be sold in grocery stores, pharmacies, and post offices all across the country. Customers could also visit the USPS’s website to order a card by mail. To comply with anti-money laundering rules, the USPS card could only be activated by visiting the USPS’s website and entering one’s personal information. If they lack internet access, card users could register cards in USPS stores.

Cards could be loaded with money by depositing cash at any grocery store, post office, or pharmacy. Funds could also be transferred onto the card from PayPal, a bank account, or any other reloadable prepaid card. The card could be configured to receive salary and benefits, pay bills, and route funds to friends and family. Purchases could be made wherever Visa or Mastercard are accepted.

There would be no need to install ATMs at each postal outlet. The USPS could negotiate with Bank of America or Chase or both to ensure its customers have access to a vast ATM network and get 1 or 2 free monthly withdrawals.

As for check cashing, the USPS already offers a government check-cashing service. If third-party check-cashing is deemed important, the USPS card app could be configured to take a picture of a check, and the funds would be deposited onto the card free of charge.

Finally, a USPS debit card could also be configured for small loans. Card owners would apply for up to $1,000 in credit, say via the USPS’s website. If they qualify, the money would be deposited onto their USPS debit card. No need for the USPS’s many front-line employees to become experts at processing loans. In a recent article, James McAndrews suggests a way to configure a prepaid card-linked lending program.

By centralizing the USPS’s entire banking platform on the web and distributing debit cards via retailers, the USPS would be able to offer banking services at a lower cost than if it relied on its physical branches. No investment would have to be made upgrading hardware or software at the USPS’s 30,000+ outlets. USPS employees would not have to be retrained in banking AML, nor would they have to become fluent in providing both postal and banking services.

Lower costs mean that the USPS could provide the unbanked with what they really want: a nonbank product with low fees and no minimum account balances. After all, three of the top four reasons for not having a bank account are “do not have enough money,” “don’t trust banks,”, and “account fees are too high,” according to the FDIC.

Is it a problem that a USPS prepaid card approach would mean no in-person service? For some, yes. But as we move further into the 2020s, people are getting ever more comfortable banking without requiring face-to-face contact. Apps, ATMs, and help lines suffice. The sorts of transactions that in-branch outlets continue to excel at are paper-based, like checks and money orders. But these are dying payment media. The number of check payments in the United States declined at an annual rate of 7.2% a year from 2015 to 2018. The USPS processed 60 million money orders per month back in 2001. Now, it processes less than 20 million.

Why does the USPS need to be involved at all in reaching the unbanked if a brick & mortar branch network isn’t important? It doesn’t. Any government agency could probably fill the role. In fact, the U.S. Treasury is already a major provider of a limited range of banking services via its Direct Express prepaid debit card. Rather than starting a new government debit card program from scratch, building off of and improving the Direct Express card would probably make more sense.

On the other hand, USPS is a well-known brand. A prepaid card with the USPS logo on it would probably better stand out on a card rack than the Treasury’s brand. But that’s more of an argument for co-branding than developing a new program from scratch.

There are other well-known brands already active in the prepaid debit card market. These include the likes of Walmart (via MoneyCard), Green Dot, Visa/MasterCard (via Vanilla cards), and American Express (via Bluebird cards). These card providers are certainly reaching low-income Americans. According to the Federal Reserve, only 93.2% of US households had bank accounts in 2016. But when prepaid cards are included, 98% have access to electronic payment services.

It is possible that these prepaid card providers aren’t competing very hard, and thus unbanked households face abnormally high fees. If so, the unbanked population could benefit by having the USPS enter the market.

On the other hand, if the market for prepaid cards is already competitive, a USPS card may have problems gaining a foothold, in which case it may not even be worth the effort.

SHOCK VIDEO: Detroit Election Workers Trained To Kick Out Poll Watchers, Count Challenged Ballots, Throw Out Provisional Ballots

Hidden audio has emerged from an anonymous source who took the election work training classes in Detroit, Michigan.

And you won’t believe what the trainers are instructing the poll workers to do.

The audio, posted in a video on YouTube, reveals that election workers are trained to try to kick out poll watchers and anyone who challenges any ballot. “They have to wear a mask, and they have to stay six feet. That’s important because if you don’t have six feet, they can’t come back there,” advises the instructor, who then goes on to say that a person standing six feet away from the ballots cannot accurately see what is going on and can’t verify any signatures, “Unless they got really good vision or they brought their binoculars.”

Trainees are told that the number one thing people will scrutinize are the absentee ballots. The solution to someone challenging an absentee ballot?

Just call 911 on anyone who’s pestering the poll workers. “If they make a scene, get ’em up out of there. Call the police on ’em.”

The producers of the video then cut away to the text of Michigan Compiled Laws 168.733, which specifically states that “The board of election inspectors shall provide space for the challengers within the polling place that enables the challengers to observe the election procedure and each person applying to vote.” Section (4) of the law specifies “A person shall not threaten or intimidate a challenger while performing an activity allowed under subsection.

The training session then goes on to explain what a worker should do with a challenged ballot. The instructor advises to put the ballot in the tabulator, which is the machine that actually counts the votes, and run it as if it were not challenged, and the vote will be counted by default. The video explains that this renders the challenged ballot unchallengable because once it goes into the machine it becomes anonymous and cannot be traced or tracked.

Michiganders can register to vote through election day. So, technically, someone can vote early or by mail in a nearby state, then travel to Michigan on the day of the election, register, and vote there. Would they ever get caught? Not likely. But these newly registered voters are supposed to bring special papers, and some papers state that their ballots are supposed to go right into the challenge que. Other papers say treat the ballot like a regular one.

The video then goes on to explain that anyone can access the master list of voters in Michigan, which provides names, address, and precinct information for every voter. Pretty much anyone could show up claiming to be someone they are not and give a name that matches one that is one the list.

Evidently there are some kind of laptops that are being issued to high schoolers, who are serving in “Electronic Pollbook Inspector” capacities. And they are getting paid hundreds of dollars.

The next part is a bit disturbing, as anyone who has had their absentee ballot stolen or had one issued to a fraudulent person, will not be able to vote. In fairness, this also means that people cannot double vote, but if they intended to do that, then they could just as easily use someone else’s name.

The trainer then says if the person swears they did not vote absentee, to issue that person a provisional ballot, which goes into a special envelope, that eventually just gets thrown out. So the person thinks they are casting their vote, when really it just goes into the garbage.

Even scarier is that these are teenagers working behind the scenes. Any of them can run any ballot they want through the tabulator, or toss them into the provisional stack to be thrown away. And the voter will be none the wiser.

The video closes out by offering instructions how to become a ballot watcher.

OUTRAGEOUS: A Large Danish Study on Mask Wearing Is Being Delayed by Publishers of Major Medical Journals – Therefore Preventing the Results from Being Made Public

One of the biggest questions in the world right now is whether the use of masks is beneficial in preventing contracting the China coronavirus.  A study attempted to do just that but publishers will not take it on and are preventing it from being published.

A large mask study out of Denmark is complete but being delayed in publishing.  Although the size of the study and the study’s design are well within the parameters of a solid study, publishers will not take it on:

2/ Professor: Large Danish mask study rejected by three top journals pic.twitter.com/bHVmy1J1oN

— Andrew Bostom (@andrewbostom) October 22, 2020

The purpose of the study was once and for all to try to clarify the extent to which the use of masks in public space provides protection against the corona infection.

4/ Likely Null? “Can one interpret a controversial research result in the sense that no significant effect of mask use is demonstrated in your study?—“that’s a very relevant question you are asking.” pic.twitter.com/4a31Eq0vUo

— Andrew Bostom (@andrewbostom) October 22, 2020

One of the authors of the study is upset the study has not been published for peer review. The world needs to know the results of the study and should be provided a chance to challenge it and determine its viability:

As one of the co-authors I can inform you that we are very unhappy about the delay of our study. We never anticipated this delay. The peer review process is important to secure correct scientific conclusions for this sensitive research question. https://t.co/f0LMKNRK3d

— Henrik Ullum (@henrik_ullum) October 22, 2020

Alex Berenson shared that the study should be released – we need to know if wearing masks is harmful:

To be clear: The Danish study is the most important research on masks. If it shows they don’t work, we need to know, so we can try other solutions. If it shows they’re harmful, we need to know, SO WE DON’T TELL PEOPLE TO WEAR THEM.

POLITICS CANNOT HOLD HEALTH HOSTAGE. PUBLISH.

— Alex Berenson (@AlexBerenson) October 22, 2020

We can guess right now why the study is not being published – because masks don’t work in preventing the spread of the China coronavirus and likely are harmful to your health.

Why Did Hunter Biden Extend Loan in China – What is this Deal About?

The Hits Keep Coming–

Moments ago we posted a story reporting the Steve Bannon War Room released an email from China’s Communist Party operative Xin Wang to Hunter Biden and Eric Schwerin from 2018 regarding a loan agreement. In the email Xin Wang offers to extend the loan agreement to December 13, 2019.

This raises several questions including was this agreement with the CCP presented to the IRS or SEC?
If not that would be unlawful.

The War Room says they have signatures.

pic.twitter.com/K6MOsPThix

— Steve Bannon’s War Room (@WarRoomPandemic) October 24, 2020

According to Conservative Daily News

Hunter Biden traveled to China on Air Force Two in December 2013 and arranged for his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to shake hands with the CEO of BHR. At the time of the meeting, which Hunter Biden later described as social in nature, BHR was seeking to raise $1.5 billion from Chinese state-backed investors. The firm currently manages the equivalent of $2.1 billion in assets, according to its website.

Hunter Biden’s lawyer, on behalf of his client, said in a statement Sunday that the younger Biden had served as an unpaid member of BHR’s board since its founding in 2013, and that it wasn’t until October 2017 that he invested $420,000 to obtain a 10% equity stake in the firm.

But Hunter Biden did not invest in BHR Partners directly.

Rather, Chinese business records reveal a company called Skaneateles LLC, which Hunter Biden controls alongside Schwerin, became a BHR shareholder on Oct. 23, 2017.

— Steve Bannon’s War Room (@WarRoomPandemic) October 24, 2020

Now we have additional information regarding the loan extension signed by  Hunter Biden and his business partner Eric Schwerin and the loan agreement they signed with China.

We now know that the prior signor of the loan was with Xiangsheng Li, a Hong Kong citizen.  He was replaced in the loan agreement by Xin Wang, a Canadian citizen.

Per gnews.org the loan extension states:

WHEREAS:

  1. The Original Lender and the Borrowers entered into a loan agreement dated June 30, 2017 (the “Loan Agreement“) pursuant to which it was agreed that the Original Lender would make certain advances to Skaneateles for the purpose of funding its registered capital obligations to BHR;
  2. the Original Lender did not have sufficient funds to make the entire Loan as stipulated in the Loan Agreement and the New Lender stepped in to make a direct loan to the Borrowers in the amount of US$158,000 (the “New Loan“) on December 4, 2017;

Why was the loan extended with a new individual?

What was the loan for?

In addition, one of the signors in the agreement is a China National:

Mr. Li Xiangshengof Bohai Industrial Investment Fund Management General Manager Company Limited, the Investment Committee convener.

Mr. Li Xiangsheng joined Bohai Fund in 2007, previously served as Director of Hong Kong Peregrine Finance Company, President of Beijing Century Flying Tiger Technology Company, Vice President of Huawen Investment Holding Company, Managing Director of Macquarie Investment Consultants(Beijing) Co., Ltd. Li Xiang Mr. Sheng has many years of working experience in the investment industry. Now he’s fully in charge of the development and management of company’s investment business .

Mr. Li Xiangsheng graduated from the Department of Physics of Nanjing University in1985 , obtained a Bachelor of Laws from Nanjing University in 1986, and he went on studying in the UK and obtained a Master of Laws from the University of London in 1991. Mr. Li is a professional lawyer.

Tom Fitton and Attorney Sidney Powell “They Were Willing to Blow Up the Constitution” – “All of Their Rage Has Been Out of Their Own Guilt.”

For years we wondered how bad it must have been for the Democrats and the Deep State to commit crimes in their attempt to remove President Trump as the President of the United States.  It’s because they all were in on it.

Tom Fitton shared the following after discussing the absolute prosecutorial and judicial insanity and abuse of General Flynn, the following:

The dirty little secret in this town is there are no dirty little secrets.  I guarantee you everyone knew about what Biden was up to.  Many Senators know about it.  We have information coming from other sources, that, from these emails and other similar documents that there were other Senators who are implicated in this…

…this scandal, if it involves the Vice President of the United States for a period of time, you can bet it involves other top politicians here. I helps explain why they were willing to blow up the Constitution to take out President Trump.

Next Sidney Powell, General Flynn’s attorney commented on the Hunter Biden emails and the corrupt actions of the Biden clan:

I agree with everything Tom just said.  They are so afraid of what they’ve done, they, that’s why we’ve had the whole crusade to try to destroy President Trump.  It’s not just Vice President Biden or Hunter it is many of them.  They know it, they’re guilty.  All of their rage has been out of their own guilt.

Trump Campaign Breaks Online Fundraising Record In 24 Hours Following The Final Debate

Trump did an outstanding job in the final presidential debate this week. Joe Biden seemed under-prepared, and at times, angry.

Supporters of the president showed their approval of his performance with their wallets.

In the 24 hours following the debate, the Trump campaign broke an online fundraising record by hauling in a staggering $26 million dollars.

The Inqisitr reports:

Donald Trump Campaign Breaks Online Fundraising Record, Announces ‘Heavy’ Ad Buy In Minnesota

On Thursday night, President Donald Trump’s campaign broke its online fundraising record, The Hill reported.

Campaign manager Bill Stepien said Friday that Trump raised $26 million in the hours around the final presidential debate against Joe Biden, pulling in 30 percent more money than during any 24-hour period in the 2016 or 2020 presidential cycles.

Stepien revealed that some of the new resources will be spent on a major ad purchase in Minnesota.

Minnesota has not supported a Republican for commander-in-chief since 1972. Four years ago, even though he barely campaigned in the state, Trump lost to then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton by only 44,000 votes.

This time, Trump’s team has dispatched 60 staffers to Minnesota. Next week, they will be joined by Vice President Mike Pence.

Some Republicans reportedly believe that Democrats have lost support in the rural parts of Minnesota and see this as an opening for Trump to pull a major upset.

Even though public polling suggests Biden is comfortably in the lead, some close to Trump reportedly think that the backlash against police brutality protests — which began in Minneapolis, following George Floyd’s death — could drive GOP turnout in suburban and rural areas.

This is huge.

“This Low Level Trash Isn’t Going to Stop Me!” – Rudy Giuliani Promises to Defeat the Biden Crime Family in Plea to Patriotic Americans to Get Out and Vote (VIDEO)

Rudy Giuliani posted a very moving plea to patriotic Americans to get out and vote for President Trump.

The former New York Mayor also told his supporters that “the low level trash” Biden Family isn’t going to stop him.

Rudy has confronted much worse characters in the mafia, the FARC terrorists and Islamists and he promises he will beat the Biden clan too.

Rudy Giuliani: Here’s what emerges in the end. You’re the only ones who can save this country. I can’t save this country. I’ve done everything I can. I’ve been called every name in the book, sued and threatened with you can’t imagine what. It makes me proud of myself that I’m able to do it anyway. So I’m a strange bird alright. My father brought me up that way. The mafia didn’t stop me and the FARC didn’t stop me, and Islamic terrorists didn’t stop me. And this low level trash isn’t going to stop me because that’s what they are. Who somehow got near the White House. But don’t let them get the White House. The American people have common sense and decency. You gotta stop these people. You gotta get out and vote. You vote. You vote them down. You get them out. And I promise you that I will expend as much effort to clean this up so we no longer have censorship and so we get these crooked politicians out of Washington, Republican and Democrat.

Here is the full 29 minute video:

Mark Levin Audio Rewind – 10/23/20

On Friday’s Mark Levin Show, President Trump drew out lie after lie from former VP Joe Biden at last night’s debate. Trump brilliantly called Biden to the carpet for not implementing any of his grandiose plans when he had the opportunity to implement them during his 47 years in public office. Then, the most glaring fact-check was when Biden claimed that he’s never called to end fracking and challenged Trump to put the video of him saying it on his website. Trump tweeted it. Biden’s 110-page manifesto known as the unity task force document on his campaign website was taken to task. The radical energy plan, co-authored by Rep. AOC, will cripple our economy and dramatically raise costs. It will also destroy our energy-production capacity. Later, former President Barack Obama lied more than 36 times saying that people who had health insurance would be able to keep it. This was false. Yet, Joe Biden told that same lie at the final presidential debate and it went unchecked by the moderator. Plus, one question that was obviously missing from the debate was the one regarding any formal denial of the Hunter Biden laptop. Biden won’t say that it’s not Hunter’s laptop, and even Hunter has come forward to deny that it’s his. This is the most corrupt media in American history. Afterward, Senator Lindsey Graham joins the show to discuss the 100 million-dollar attack on his campaign. Graham has fought hard to support Trump and now the DNC is after him. Finally, Senate candidate Daniel Gade calls in with an update on his campaign against Mark Warner, his military service, and how he’s being outspent by the Democrats.

“Four Years Ago,” Trump Was “my last choice”…”Now, I will walk across a vast plain of burning coals to cast my vote”

100 Percent Fed Up – Four years ago, I wrote a piece about what to do if you hated both candidates. Trump was, at the time, my last choice among Republicans, and most Republicans I knew felt the same. Some felt strongly enough to go Democrat.

“I could never vote for Trump,” they all said.

At the time, I wrote this:

I hear this a lot. I’m not talking about Democrats, but Republicans, particularly of the educated, northeastern, country club variety. The sort that like Kasich. For this genus, voting for Trump is declasse, a lowbrow act. And they would rather see Hillary Clinton be President than have their sophistication questioned at the next cocktail party.

So let’s get this part out of the way. Trump is boorish and frequently crude. He has no filter. He has a checkered past with women. His facility with the English language is wanting. He tweets too much and sometimes with little thought.

He is all those things. In a perfect world, Trump would have the decorum of a Mitt Romney. But he doesn’t.

(Worth noting here that there’s one thing I don’t buy, which is that Trump is racist. There’s no evidence for this – indeed, there’s ample evidence to the contrary – and Charlottesville was an abject lie.)

The question is, do these things mean you vote for Joe Biden?

Four years ago, I held my nose and pulled the lever for Trump, having no clue what might come. He was a total wild card.

Now, I will walk across a vast plain of burning coals to cast my vote.

What’s changed? While Trump, the man, is no different, Trump the president, has surprised wildly to the upside. He is a damn good executive, despite having to weather the constant lies of the media, Democrats, and even our intelligence agencies. It seems every week there’s a new manufactured scandal. It comes up empty and they pivot to the next with nary a moment for self-reflection.

The thing is, I don’t need the president to be my friend. I don’t need him to join my country club. I need him to do a job. That means creating prosperity and keeping the country safe.

Four years ago, I suggested that the “tie-breaker” (assuming you liked neither candidate) should be policy. What’s remarkable about Trump is just how doggedly he has pursued the policies he promised. If you’re like me, you have never given much credence to any politician’s promises. When Trump said he’d build a wall, I thought, “Yeah, sure.”

And yet, a wall he’s building, despite everything that’s aligned against him. Really, I thought it was just a campaign line.

So, let’s take a quick look at what Trump’s accomplished. (Perhaps you don’t know all this, because the media won’t report any of it.)

Tax cuts. We had the highest corporate tax rates in the world. Now we’re competitive. 30% of the stock market rally is attributable to the lower rate.

Economy. Pre-COVID, the most robust economy in world history, with record-low unemployment rates for minorities and women.

Energy independence. Fracking and pipelines like Keystone have freed us from having to suck up to the Middle East.

Massive deregulation. Equivalent to a huge tax cut, and a big part of the growth surge. Underappreciated in scope.

The suburbs. Ended Obama’s insane social experiment in housing.

Title IX. Ending the Obama era practice of depriving young college men of due process (I wrote about this in Campusland).

The Middle East. Peace breaking out all over, and it’s because Trump has ignored the foreign policy establishment and rewritten the rules. Plus, he’s phasing us out of the endless wars and bringing troops home. Any Democrat would already have won a Peace Prize. Maybe two.

Israel. Moved the embassy and recognized Jerusalem as the rightful capital. No previous president had the stones.

Iran. Got us out of an abominable deal that paved the way for the mullahs to get the bomb.

Climate Accord. Got us out of a ruinous deal.

Kosovo/Serbia. Another peace deal! Got thirty seconds of coverage.

ISIS. Heard from them lately? Neither have I.

Soleimani and al-Baghdadi. Dead.

World Health Organization. Defunding this corrupt, China toady. No one else, including Republicans, would have put up with the crap Trump knew he was going to get on this one.

Supreme Court. Putting constitutionalists (not conservatives) on the bench. And what other president would have stuck with Brett Kavanaugh? George H.W. Bush would have folded like a tent.

Trade. No more one-sided deals.

NATO. He’s getting deadbeat European countries to pay up.

Prison reform. ’nuff said.

Long list. I’m sure I forgot some things.

But, wait! What about COVID!

That is, perhaps, a whole other post, but the bulk of the mismanagement on COVID has come from Democrat governors like Cuomo. Trump let them have a lot of rope, something for which he was criticized. But if he’d gone the other way, they would have screamed fascism. I do think his messaging has been poor, but the bottom line is that this is a virus, and viruses will always run their course until either herd immunity or a vaccine. You can delay illnesses (and harm the economy, which we did), but the virus doesn’t just go away.

Now, Biden.

I remember one of my political science professors at Yale saying presidential candidates would always move to the center in order to carve out the maximum part of the electorate.

Like so many things I was taught in college, that’s totally wrong.

This election has one of the starkest choices in U.S. history, and that’s why it’s so important.

Biden is not a liberal. He’s also not a moderate. He’s not anything. For the seven hundred years he’s been in Washington, he’s been a human weather vane.

The problem is that the weather in his party is blowing hard – really hard – to the left. You don’t think that Elizabeth Warren, AOC, and the rest aren’t coming to collect on their IOUs? Biden was not their guy, but they all dutifully lined up. Biden campaigned all-out as a progressive during the primaries to shore up their support.

At any rate, even if he once might have been inclined to stand up to the far left, he no longer has the mental strength to do so. He is clearly in cognitive decline.

If Biden wins, he will likely win the Senate as well. When that happens, the filibuster goes on day one. And starting day two, you will see an onslaught of progressive legislation unmatched in our history. They will seek to get it done quickly, before the public catches on, and before they lose in the midterms.

So, what to expect?

Single-payer healthcare. This will be item #1. Hello Canada, long waits, zero innovation, and higher (hidden) costs. Nothing is as expensive as what the government makes free.

Free healthcare for illegals. Biden raised his hand, thus forever putting to bed his moderate rep.

Immigration. Look for virtually no enforcement.

Green New Deal. This one is so insane that I wouldn’t expect the full proposal to pass, and Biden has expressed reservations. But some form of it will pass, along with a bevy of regulations. Look for energy prices to spike, and a renewal of the Paris Climate Accord.

Taxes. Up they will go, starting with corporate taxes. They will once again be among the highest in the world. Biden’s plan also virtually eliminates estate tax exemptions, plus passes cap gains liabilities on to future generations. Awful.

$15 Minimum wage. Sounds great, but in reality, is a job killer for those that need it the most.

New States. Puerto Rico and DC, thus ensuring semi-permanent congressional control

Court Packing. Fifteen justices, something even RBG was against. Biden is being coy, which means he wants it

Civil Disorder. Is Biden really going to stop the violence that his own base creates? And don’t think the rioting will stop because a Dem is in the White House. That’s not how radical movements work.

Iran. The deal will be back on the table.

China. No one is closer to China than Joe Biden.

Speech regulation. I’m speculating on this one, but political correctness will rule the day, and the New York Times is pushing for it.

Any of these policies are horrific, but add them together and you have permanent change, the sort countries never recover from.

And we now also know that Biden is thoroughly corrupt. He has made himself a very wealthy man by having his children sell access to him. Incredibly, this isn’t illegal, but it’s still unethical and corrupt. Everything the left has long accused the Trump family of doing, the Biden family has actually been doing in spades.

So, give me the boorish tweet-sender. The choice is easy.

BREAKING: War Room Releases Email on CCP “Loans” To Hunter Biden and Eric Schwerin Worth Millions — Hid From IRS and SEC?

The Hits Keep Coming–

The Steve Bannon War Room released an email from Chines Communist Party operative Xin Wang to Hunter Biden and Eric Schwerin from 2018 regarding a loan agreement. In the email Xin Wang offers to extend the loan agreement to Decamber 13, 2019.

This raises several questions including was this agreement with the CCP presented to the IRS or SEC?
If not that would be unlawful.

The War Room says they have signatures.

HISTORIC PRESIDENCY! President Trump Announces Israel and Sudan Normalization Agreement — Third Muslim Country to Announce Peace Deal with Israel

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Sudan earlier this month.

Now you know why the liberal media and debate commission would not allow foreign policy to be discussed during the presidential debates.

Because President Donald J. Trump is CRUSHING IT!

President Trump announced on Friday that Isreal and Sudan had agreed to a normalization of relations.
Sudan is the third Muslim country in the past 3 months to announce a peace agreement with Israel thanks to the work of the Trump administration!

#BREAKING: President @realDonaldTrump has announced that Sudan and Israel have agreed to the normalization of relations— another major step toward building peace in the Middle East with another nation joining the Abraham Accords 🇸🇩🇮🇱🇺🇸

— Judd Deere (@JuddPDeere45) October 23, 2020

This is the third peace deal with Israel and fourth peace deal for the Trump administration.
President Trump announced a historic peace agreement between Kosovo and Serbia earlier this year.

Al Arabiya reported:

US President Donald Trump announces that Sudan will normalize relations with Israel, a landmark step after two Gulf Arab nations moved to recognize Israel.

Moments after Trump formally moved to remove Sudan from a US list of state sponsors of terrorism, reporters were escorted to the Oval Office where he was on the phone with leaders of Israel and Sudan.

“Sudan and Israel have agreed to the normalization of relations — another major step toward building peace in the Middle East with another nation joining the Abraham Accords” that involve Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, Trump aide Judd Deere wrote on Twitter.

Trump on Friday also formally moved to delist Sudan as a state sponsor of terrorism, a step long sought by the Arab nation which faces US pressure to normalize relations with Israel.

WATCH: Obama On Children Crossing The Border In 2014: “Do Not Send Your Kids Here” (VIDEO)

In 2014, former President Barack Obama warned against sending kids to the border and spoke of a process in which his administration would ‘process them’ and ‘send them back’ while interviewing with George Stephanopoulos.

Stephanopoulos said, “You mentioned immigration. There’s a humanitarian crisis on the border. Some of your critics have said you have to speak out more directly to the people of Central America and say, don’t come. If you come, you will be deported.”

Obama stated, “Well, we actually we’ve done that. The problem is, is that under current law, once those kids come across the border, there’s a system in which we’re supposed to process them, take care of them until we can send them back.”

Stephanopoulos asked, “Is your message, don’t come?”

Obama also mentioned that children were coming across with ‘smugglers’

Obama answered, “Oh, our message absolutely is don’t send your children unaccompanied on trains or through a bunch of smugglers. That is our direct message to the families in Central America. Do not send your children to the borders. If they do make it, they’ll get sent back. More importantly, they may not make it.”

During the final debate between Trump and Biden, President Trump was attacked over ‘child separation’ policies and Trump addressed that many of these children come over with ‘coyotes’ who smuggle children and others across the U.S Mexican border.

Debate moderator Kristen Welker asked, “Mr. President, your administration separated children from their parents at the border, at least 4000 kids. You’ve since reversed your zero-tolerance policy, but the United States can’t locate the parents of more than 500 children. So how will these families ever be reunited?”

President Trump responded, “Children are brought here by coyotes and lots of bad people. Cartels. And they’re brought here. And they used to use them to get into our country. We now have as strong a border as we’ve ever had.”

President Trump countered these allegations by asking which administration built the ‘cages’

Trump continued, “We’re over 400 miles of brand new wall. You see the numbers and we let people in, but they have to come in legally and they come in through merit.”

Welker asked again, “How do you reunite these kids with their families, Mr. President?”

Trump said, “Let me just tell you. They built cages. You know, they used to say I built the cages and then they had a picture in a certain newspaper and it was a picture of these horrible cages. And they said,  look at these cages. President Trump built them. And then it was determined they were built in 2014. That was him [Biden]. They built cages.”

Welker cut in again, “Do you have a plan to reunite the kids?”

Trump answered, “Yes. We’re working on it very well. We’re trying very hard. But a lot of these kids come out without the parents. They come over through cartels and through coyotes and through gangs.

Biden said, “They cannot- It’s not coyotes didn’t bring them over. Their parents were with them. They got separated from their parents. And it makes us a laughing stock and violates every notion of who we are as a nation.”

The moderator said to Biden, “Let me ask you a follow-up question.”

Trump said, “Kristen, they did it. We changed the policy. They did it.”

Welker the moderator asked Biden, “Your response to that?”

Trump said as Biden answered, “They built the cages.”

Biden answered, “We did not! They-”

Trump asked again, “Who built the cages, Joe?”

Biden then said, “Let’s talk about who we’re talking about.”

The Obama-era ‘cages’ were originally built to separate people by age and gender before processing.

Trump during the debate said, “They are so well taken care of. They’re in facilities that were so clean.”

Welker said in return, “But some of them haven’t been reunited with their families.”

Trump continued, “But just ask one question. Who built the cages? I’d love you to ask him that. Who built the cages?”

New Jersey Mayor Opens Food Boxes, Removes and Replaces Trump Letter With His Own

New Jersey Mayor Derek Armstead was caught opening government food boxes to the poor, removing letters from President Trump and replacing the letters with his own.

The Democrat mayor wants his constituents to believe they came from his office.

This is dishonest and unsanitary.
But he is a Democrat.

The New Jersey Globe reported:

A letter from President Donald Trump that accompanied U.S. Department of Agriculture fresh food boxes for Linden was replaced by one from the city’s Democratic mayor, Derek Armstead.

Food boxes were opened by local public works department employees.  Trump’s letter was removed and a letter from Armstead was added.

“The original letter in these boxes was removed, and the mayor had city employees put in his letter on work time,” said Councilwoman Gretchen Hickey, a Democrat and an Armstead political rival.

Armstead acknowledged that his message was added to the box, offering local residents the impression to recipients that the food came from him.

“Whenever I do a delivery, I always add a letter from the mayor,” Armstead told  the New Jersey Globe.

Trump says his administration has delivered 100 million Farmers to Families food boxes since May as part of a program to send nutritious food to families in need.

Included in the box is a letter from Trump on White House stationary that includes guidance to reduce the risk of being infected with COVID-19.

Read the rest here.

They’re Panicking! – Kamala Harris Responds to Questions on Biden’s Vow to Shut Down US Oil Industry, “Joe Biden is Not Going to Ban Fracking!” (VIDEO)

They’re panicking.

Joe Biden really screwed up last night during the debate when he fell right into President Trump’s trap and admitted he will shut down the US oil industry.

Even the liberal moderator was shocked by Joe Biden’s statement.

Barack Obama was right when he said “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f*ck things up.”

Biden tried to clean up his mess after the debate by telling reporters afterward that he wants to end subsidies for fossil fuels and that “we’re not getting rid of fossil fuels for a long time.”

Biden claimed workers will not lose their jobs and that they will be able to find new jobs in alternative energy.

On Friday, Kamala Harris played clean up crew when reporters asked her about Biden’s vow to shut down the oil industry.

“Let me be clear, Joe Biden is not going to ban fracking!” Kamala Harris told reporters after she deplaned in Georgia.

Biden Flees From Podium After Delaware Speech Without Taking Questions, Drops His Face Mask on the Ground (VIDEO)

Joe Biden on Friday delivered remarks on the Coronavirus from Wilmington, Delaware.

77-year-old Joe Biden said, “I’m not going to shut down the economy, I’m not gonna shut down the country” — despite vowing to ‘listen to the scientists’ and shut down the country to ‘combat the Coronavirus’ during his interview with ABC News.

The plan Biden laid out today is literally what President Trump is already doing to combat the Coronavirus (save for universal masking).

Today Biden said his administration would do the following to stop the spread of Covid:

– Universal masking
– Available testing
– Enough PPE
– Scientific guidelines for opening
– Safe and effective treatments and vaccine

As usual, Biden immediately fled from the podium after he finished his speech and refused to take questions from reporters.

Biden dropped his face mask on the ground as he shuffled away.

Notice his gait as he flees the podium.

PURE EVIL: Facebook Removes Disabled Senior Citizen’s Page Because She Is Conservative — Then Removes Her Page on Cute Animals

The Gateway Pundit like MANY conservative publishers has been censored and mostly eliminated by the tech giants and far left social media platforms.

We have been speaking out on this unconstitutional assault on Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press for several years now. Back in September 2018 The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft spoke to Congress on Facebook’s assault on free speech, up to this date this case is still pending on congress.

Jim Hoft discussed and brought evidence of the widespread censorship and elimination of conservative content on Facebook. We are reposting that testimony here today:

Last May 28 this year President Trump signed his executive order  regarding social media and big technology companies. The order comes on the heels of an illicit fact-check on the president from Twitter, related to President Trump’s sentiment regarding voting by mail. And last September, it was reported that the DOJ finally went to Congress to seek changes in the laws that grant social media giants immunity from censoring the American public and preventing stories they don’t want shared posted on their websites.

But Facebook, Twitter, and Google have doubled down on their censorship strategies on conservative voices.  They want to shut down all conservative news complimentary of President Trump.  They don’t want free speech or the truth. And then last Tuesday morning, Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to authorize subpoenas for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to testify on their censorship of the damning New York Post reports on the Biden Crime Family and Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Over the past week, we received tons of emails, comments and message requests on our social media about censorship. A user on Parler, @WakeUpAmericatheOriginal told us her heartbreaking story.

Here’s an excerpt on her message:

I spend hours each day finding information and vetting prior to posting … I’m a disabled senior citizen keyboard warrior … unfortunately, it’s all I can do … I have to do something … we’ve too much at stake … God help us all

Here’s her message to TGP:

According to her, Facebook never gave her a reason. Here’s her reply:

Her Facebook page is gone and even her animal page was removed. She had an animal page to de-stress from politics.

Another Gateway Pundit follower @massivanhees sent us a message on Instagram. His account Conservative Alliance, known for posting videos exposing the radical and corrupt left that mainstream media won’t cover, has been disabled by Instagram for no valid reason.

He said;

This is all it showed, and I had to give them my number and that’s it.. Pretty vague in terms of explaining what happened. Anytime I try to sign in now it just says my account is under review.

A Facebook user told us that Facebook has threatened to restrict his account 3 times in about 15 minutes for posting our “challenge” regarding New York Times hit piece to Gateway Pundit. Now Facebook censored his comment for “coordinating harm and promoting crime“!

There’s so much more proof we have to justify that these tech giants are censoring conservative voices.

More and more conservative thought is being censored and destroyed by the social media giants and the fake news media especially election is just around the corner.  Americans want protection for their free speech rights but the Mainstream Media (MSM) and social media giants don’t.

Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court Prohibits Counties From Rejecting Ballots Over Signatures

Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court on Friday prohibited counties from rejecting ballots if the voter’s signature doesn’t match the signature on their voter registration.

This is another win for Democrats, who now have until 3 days after the election to count mail-in and absentee ballots with questionable signatures and no postmark thanks to Chief Justice Roberts’ ruling earlier this week.

AP reported:

Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court is prohibiting counties from rejecting ballots because the voter’s signature on it may not resemble their signature on their registration form. Two Republican justices joined five Democratic justices in Friday’s decision, which addresses a key concern surrounding an avalanche of mail-in ballots in the presidential battleground state. The verdict was a victory for the state’s top election official, Kathy Boockvar, a Democrat who had asked the court to back her up in a legal dispute with President Donald Trump’s campaign and Republican lawmakers. Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden are locked in a battle to win Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes.

President Trump won Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes in 2016 and he is doing very well in the battleground state this year.

Joe Biden cannot win Pennsylvania in a free and fair election because he has repeatedly vowed to end fracking which would result in tens of thousands of lost jobs in The Keystone State.

Biden promised to shut down the oil industry and destroy millions of jobs during last night’s debate which pretty much ended his chances of winning Pennsylvania, Ohio and other states.

So now the courts are stepping in to hand Biden Pennsylvania through massive voter fraud by allowing ballots with questionable signatures to be counted 3 days after the election.

A Comprehensive Case Against Lockdowns: How Dr. Ari Joffe Changed His Mind

Dr. Ari R Joffe, MD, teaches in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Critical Care Medicine, University of Alberta and Stollery Children’s Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and is a member of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He was also an advocate of lockdowns. Then he saw what they did in practice. Now he has documented the carnage in what might be the most comprehensive paper yet published.

It is called: COVID-19: Rethinking the Lockdown Groupthink

Here are his summary points.

The Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has caused the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) worldwide pandemic in 2020. In response, most countries in the world implemented lockdowns, restricting their population’s movements, work, education, gatherings, and general activities in an attempt to ‘flatten the curve’ of COVID-19 cases. The public health goal of lockdowns was to save the population from COVID-19 cases and deaths, and to prevent overwhelming health care systems with COVID-19 patients. In this narrative review I explain why I changed my mind about supporting lockdowns. First, I explain how the initial modeling predictions induced fear and crowd-effects [i.e., groupthink]. Second, I summarize important information that has emerged relevant to the modeling, including about infection fatality rate, high-risk groups, herd immunity thresholds, and exit strategies. Third, I describe how reality started sinking in, with information on significant collateral damage due to the response to the pandemic, and information placing the number of deaths in context and perspective. Fourth, I present a cost-benefit analysis of the response to COVID-19 that finds lockdowns are far more harmful to public health than COVID-19 can be. I close with some suggestions for moving forward.

The paper covers the failures of the models, the emergence of group think, the fear-based narrative, the emerging demographic data, the Swedish exception, the failure to balance costs and benefits, the role of the media, the psychological devastation, the carnage within the medical industry, the economic calamity, and much more, complete with some striking charts, among which:

And the conclusion: “We must open up society to save many more lives than we can by attempting to avoid every case (or even most cases) of COVID-19. It is past time to take an effortful pause, calibrate our response to the true risk, make rational cost-benefit analyses of the trade-offs, and end the lockdown groupthink.”

Larry C. Johnson: Whistleblower John Paul Mac Isaac Threatened and Viciously Attacked Over Hunter Biden Laptop Scandal – GoFundMe Legal Defense Fund Set Up

Guest post by Larry Johnson

John Paul Mac Isaac is a Mac repair shop owner in Wilmington, Delaware. He found himself in the unfortunate position of having to recover data from a laptop owned by Hunter Biden.

Never could he have imagined that by doing his job, he would become embroiled in a major legal and political nightmare.

While recovering the data for Hunter Biden, John Paul came across information that may have relevance to ongoing investigations by federal law enforcement. As a patriotic American, he contacted the FBI.

The laptops are in the possession of the FBI now but, unfortunately, John Paul is dealing with the unforeseen consequences.

Faced with daily threats of physical harm and the ongoing pursuit by the media, John Paul has retained an attorney to protect his legal rights.

As a Mac repair shop owner, John Paul makes a living but is not wealthy by any means. This situation was literally dropped in his lap. With the assistance of counsel, he is cooperating with law enforcement to help with their investigation.

Unfortunately, legal costs have already begun to exceed what he can afford and he is asking for the help of those who believe in him.

John Paul is hoping you can help because he does not have the funds to continue to pay the legal fees that he had no idea he would be incurring.

The money raised will solely be used to pay legal fees and any expenses associated with his defense and with raising the money. Any excess donations at the conclusion of this matter will be donated to a charity for the benefit of veterans.

You can help defray the costs of defending John Paul here:

OUTRAGEOUS: Corrupt DC Judge Emmet Sullivan Delays General Flynn Case Again – Demands DOJ Sign Off on Evidence

The wholly corrupt judge in the General Flynn case, Judge Emmet Sullivan, has delayed Flynn’s right to a speedy trial and continues to abuse the General who the DOJ admitted a half a year ago was wrongfully prosecuted.

While General Flynn endures years of Deep State prosecutorial abuse based on no crimes and made up crimes and deep state lies, others like Hunter Biden are allowed to walk freely after taking millions from foreign entities in shady deals while Barack Obama was President.

American general and war hero, General Michael Flynn obtained attorneys from Covington to represent him in the filing of a FARA form in December of 2016, shortly after the 2016 election. A few months later, General Flynn’s life was turned upside down and he eventually hired Covington again, but this time to represent him on charges being leveled against him by the Mueller gang. Eventually, the Covington lawyers working for the General coerced him to sign a guilty plea on charges he did not believe he was guilty of. He agreed to the plea in part because the Mueller gang was threatening his son.  The Mueller gang agreed with the Covington lawyers to not prosecute Flynn’s son on bogus charges if the General agreed to lying to the FBI.  It was all a set up.

After millions in legal fees, and untold negative stories in the MSM, General Flynn obtained new lawyers and the government finally released Brady documents showing he committed no crimes. The documents showed he was set up and the courts were lied to.

When this occurred General Flynn released an explanation for his actions and provided an idea of what he had endured over the past few years in a tweet.

@GoJackFlynn

@lofly727
@FieldofFighthttps://t.co/lZYjp6NIov

— General Flynn (@GenFlynn) April 25, 2020

That was in April. After four years of prosecutorial abuse, lying attorneys and agents in the government, a grotesque lying media and numerous claims of his sedition, the government came to the realization that there was no case against Flynn. He had done nothing wrong. But when his attorneys and the government approached the judge to end the case, the corrupt Judge Sullivan declined.

In the most disgusting investigation, set up, prosecution and kangaroo court in US history, General Flynn and his family wait for his release from his bogus case from the courts. Now today, Corrupt Judge Sullivan from the corrupt DC court has decided to prolong justice again.

The Hill reports:

Judge Emmet Sullivan gave the Department of Justice (DOJ) until Monday to attest to the evidence, which includes handwritten notes from former FBI agent Peter Strzok. He also ordered the prosecutors to provide the dates and authors for each filing as well as a transcription for each handwritten document.

Strzok’s attorney, Aitan Goelman, flagged the alterations in a letter to Sullivan late last month, saying that the DOJ had added dates to the documents and that at least one of them was inaccurate.

The DOJ told the court earlier this month that investigators reviewing the case had mistakenly included the dates on the documents that were submitted.

Strzok’s comments have nothing to do with Flynn’s innocence.  Strzok and others were behind the framing and set up of General Flynn and now Judge Sullivan is working with them in denying Flynn justice.

In the meantime, Hunter Biden and many others in and connected to the Obama Administration walk free. Although there were known crimes being committed by the Clinton Foundation, although Americans were spied on by the Obama Administration and raw data from the USA’s Intel Community were sent freely to outside organizations, nothing is done.

General Flynn’s lovely wife tweeted out her angst in September:

My husband @GenFlynn sits at a sanctioned dinner in 2015, which he fully briefed the USG, (BEFORE AND AFTER) and receives endless grief for 4 yrs! Hunter Biden gets MILLIONS OF CORRUPT DOLLARS DIRECTLY FROM RUSSIA, and CRICKETS from the media. #Dismissalready

— loandfly⭐⭐⭐ (@lofly727) September 23, 2020

Our media and government agencies are corrupt.

Only President Donald Trump can address this and will address this. We know it because Biden ignores it and he’s part of it. Please continue your prayers for America and the Flynn family.

BREAKING: Per Chinese Reporters Hunter Biden Went to Beijing, Secretly Met with CCP Spy and Asked for Mansion and Women

A report out of Asia claims that Hunter Biden met with a CCP spy in Beijing and asked for millions for a house and for women.

Gnews.org reports that Hunter Biden engaged in illicit actions in Beijing with the CCP.  Reporters in Asia discussed recent attacks on Rudy Giuliani and Hunter Biden’s actions in Beijing.

In regards to Rudy, the reporters shared that the accusations against Rudy Giuliani were not true.  Giuliani acted appropriately in front of a so called 15-year-old girl, not inappropriately.  [We now know that the attack on Rudy by the left after Rudy was involved in the release of Hunter Biden emails were bogus.  The girl he was with was in her 20’s and Rudy was tucking his shirt in, nothing more.]  The reporters claimed, “They are trying so hard to smear Mr. Giuliani.”

Next the reporters discussed Hunter Biden.  They shared the following:

When Hunter Biden went with Joe for the first time [to Beijing] guess who they met with?  He met with Che Feng in Pangu Hotel.  Che Feng went to meet with Hunter with assigned task which was to befriend Hunter.  To Che’s total surprise, the first word Hunter said when he sat down was, “I am so poor.  How can I get money? I need money.  I wanted a house but it costs 100-200 million dollars.”

Something like this.  Hunter also told Che that he was interested in hot girls and asked if Che could introduce some to him.  In the end, just that cost over 1 million RMB (150,000USD Equivalent).  Che Feng later recalled that he was very surprised by how easy it was to compromise Hunter.

How corrupt are the Bidens?

Did Joe Biden Use the Pseudonym “Peter Henderson” When Trading Emails with Son Hunter?

According to an exclusive report by The National Pulse, it appears Joe Biden was using the pseudonym “Peter Henderson” in his email exchanges with his family.

The National Pulse pointed out that “Peter Henderson” is the name of a KGB mole that infiltrated the US government in Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan series.

Via The National Pulse:

While Biden – or “the big guy” – has his real name attached to his private account for some time, it changed around early 2016, going from “Joseph Biden” to “Peter Henderson” in Hunter’s e-mails.

It is unclear whether this change was on Hunter’s end (on his devices) or on Joe’s, but Peter Henderson’s e-mails included messages such as “Keep in touch, Love Dad” and shared links – often about Hillary Clinton.

In Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan series, “Peter Henderson” is the name of a KGB mole that infiltrated the United States government.

EXC: Is “Peter Henderson” Joe Biden’s E-mail Pseudonym? https://t.co/9xux3cvUbI

According to Hunter associate and whistleblower Tony Bobulinski,  “the Big Guy” AKA “the chairman” referred to in Hunter’s emails is also Joe Biden.

Despite the Biden campaign’s efforts to dismiss Hunter’s emails as Russian disinformation, the FBI confirmed it is in possession of Hunter Biden’s laptop from hell.

Biden Supporters Show Ignorance On Human Trafficking Crisis On US-Mexico Border…Mock Trump For Saying “Coyotes” Bring Kids Across Border

Last night, during his response to the immigration crisis, President Trump explained that the cages holding children on the US-Mexico border were actually built during the Barack Obama-Joe Biden administration.

100 Percent Fed Up – Trump supporter Melissa Tate shared an image of former President Barack Obama’s DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson walking through a detention center built by the administration where kids were sitting in cages, to prove that President Trump was correct with his accusation that the Obama-Biden administration built the cages for kids.

I guarantee it was the 1st time millions of Americans learned the “kids in cages” was Obama not Trump because the media has been lying to the American people. #Debates2020 https://t.co/CEYmIGoHx4

— Melissa Tate (@TheRightMelissa) October 23, 2020

He also explained the danger posed to kids who are smuggled across the border by “coyotes.”

President Trump explained, “These children are brought here by coyotes and lots of bad people, cartels, and they used to use them to get into our country.”

According to a 2012 study by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, a majority of migrants report using the services of a smuggler. In the case of children migrants, Elizabeth Kennedy, a Fulbright scholar, and researcher on child migration in El Salvador, estimates that more than half the children are smuggled using coyotes.

U.S. authorities began cracking down on smugglers in response to the surge in unaccompanied minors. ICE launched ‘Operation Coyote’ in June, capturing 363 smugglers and seizing over $800,000 in smuggling profits. U.S. law enforcement agencies have cooperated with Central American authorities, making high profile busts.

Marketwatch- A 2019 study by the Rand Corp. found coyotes can charge between $6,000 and $10,000 per person to smuggle into the U.S., often via dangerous crossings in the desert. Some coyotes have been known to assault migrants or ransom them to relatives.

Drug cartels play a role too. “They are our ticket into the United States because they are the ones who control the border,” one unnamed coyote told Univision in a 2016 report.

Meanwhile, Twitter users with a “blue checkmark” next to their name, which denotes Twitter considers them to be a person of “importance,” went off on President Trump for mentioning that coyotes are bringing innocent kids across our borders.

Dar’shun Kendrick, a Joe Biden supporter, corporate attorney, and Chief Deputy Whip of the GA House Democrats, tweeted: “Did Donald Trump just say 545 kids they can’t find their parents for came over through “cartels and coyotes?” She asked her 12K followers, “How the hell does a coyote bring a whole human across the border?! She ended her tweet by telling President Trump, “Lord—stop talking!”

Did @realDonaldTrump just say 545 kids they can’t find their parents for came over through “cartels and coyotes”?! How the hell does a coyote bring a whole human across the border?! Lord—–stop talking. #FinalDebate

— Dar’shun Kendrick (@DarshunKendrick) October 23, 2020

High-profile, anti-gun advocate, David Hogg tweeted: “Imagine calling the immigrant parents that bring their children to the United States for a better life “Coyotes,” adding, “The level of xenophobia is sickening.”

You can’t make this stuff up!!!

Imagine calling the immigrant parents that bring their children to the United States for a better life “Coyotes”

The level of xenophobia is sickening.

— David Hogg (@davidhogg111) October 23, 2020

Another brilliant Twitter “Blue checkmark” recipient, actress, and producer, Denyce Lawton, mocked President Trump’s comment, saying: “to my Hispanic people…by a raise of hands…how many were carried over here by a coyote or Drug Warlord? F*** RACIST IDIOT!! WHAT IN THE HELL??

When she was called out on her ignorant tweet, Lawton, who deleted her embarrassing condemnation of Trump, that only proved her ignorance on the seriousness of the crisis on our border, tweeted “I knew what he meant you dumbass,” claiming the Twitter user who called her out had “no sense of humor.”

I knew what he meant you dumbass . You clearly have zero sense of humor. Trolls usually don’t have common sense either 🙄https://t.co/olI4TIOl8Y

— Denyce Lawton (데니스) (@DenyceLawton) October 23, 2020

Check out these tweets by Joe Biden supporters, who are not only Twitter “blue checkmark” users; they are PHDs!!!

And the brilliant comments by Twitter’s smug, “blue checkmark” geniuses just comments kept coming…

Comedian Mark Dice destroyed the uninformed Biden supporters with one hilarious image:

What Democrats think Trump meant by coyotes bringing illegal aliens across the border, completely unaware it’s the term for smugglers they pay to help get them here. 😆#Debates2020 pic.twitter.com/7Li0NXjhD2

— Mark Dice (@MarkDice) October 23, 2020

Twitter user “Nacho Libre” included a definition of a Coyote for Democrats:

For the uninformed Americans #Coyotes pic.twitter.com/YyI230SpNP

— Nacho Libre (@dannyboeh) October 23, 2020

Also for the uninformed, here’s a clip of Joe Biden advocating for keeping illegal aliens who are arrested for driving drunk in the United States, saying he doesn’t count drunk driving as a felony.

Whoah. This is insane.

Biden says he will not deport illegal immigrants arrested for drunk driving.

Countless Americans have been needlessly killed in car wrecks caused by illegal immigrants drunk driving, yet Biden wants to look the other way.

Even the host looks shocked. pic.twitter.com/SrHiOilGyF

BREAKING: FBI to Interview Hunter Associate and Whistleblower Tony Bobulinski Today

Tony Bobulinski

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) on Friday announced that Hunter associate and whistleblower Tony Bobulinski informed the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that the FBI asked him to sit for an interview today.

Tony Bobulinski is the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings which was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC/Chairman Ye and the Biden family.

Bobulinski was previously scheduled to have an informal interview with the Senate Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Friday, but that interview was postponed to the “near future.”

NOW: @SenRonJohnson statement Bobulinski/FBI interview request READ: WASHINGTON — This morning lawyers for Tony Bobulinski informed the Senate Homeland Security + Governmental Affairs Committee + Senate Finance Committee that the FBI asked his client to sit for an interview today

— Catherine Herridge (@CBS_Herridge) October 23, 2020

Johnson said “I expect Mr. Bobulinski will speak with our committee” and “fully share his insights into the Biden family’s business dealings.”

I am glad they are finally taking an interest in these concerning financial matters our Committees have been investigating for months,” Johnson said “I expect Mr. Bobulinski will speak with our committee” + “fully share his insights into the Biden family’s business dealings”

— Catherine Herridge (@CBS_Herridge) October 23, 2020

Tony Bobulinski came forward earlier this week after he was implicated in emails released from Hunter Biden’s laptop from hell.

Bobulinski touched on several key points in his damning memo and impromptu press conference Thursday:

  • He confirmed “the Big Guy” AKA “the chairman” referred to in Hunter’s emails is indeed Joe Biden
  • He met with Joe Biden at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles in May of 2017 to discuss Hunter’s business deals in China
  • Mr. Bobulinski said he received an email concerning allocation of equity, which says 10% held by “H” for “the Big guy” in that email there’s no question that “H” stands for Hunter, and “big guy” for his father Joe Biden and Jim for Jim Biden
  • Bobulinski confirmed that he was warned by his business partner never to mention Joe Biden was involved in Hunter’s shady business dealings over email or text (only face to face) because the Bidens (Joe, Hunter and Jim Biden) were paranoid people would find out.
  • Bobulinski said Joe Biden was intimately involved in Hunter Biden’s overseas grift and influence peddling scheme
  • He confirmed the Bidens went behind his back and got paid millions by the Chinese in side deals outside of their contract

Tony Bobulinski said he is providing all of his electronic devices and other documents related to his business dealings with Hunter Biden to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and to the FBI.

Why This Disastrous Experiment Also Hurt States that Did Not Lock Down

Imagine 100 people on a wholly deserted island. Life would be pretty dreadful, right? With only 100 people producing, work would be endless in return for very few of life’s comforts.

At which point imagine if suddenly a shipwreck deposited 100 more, able-bodied people on the same deserted, desperate island. Would the first 100 lose their jobs as a consequence of the arrival of the second batch of humans?

The obvious answer is no. In truth, 200 extra “hands” arriving onshore would signal boom times in a relative sense for everyone on the island. The more hands at work, the more that there would be work specialization. And when workers are specialized, they’re logically quite a bit more productive.

Looked at in a country sense, contrary to the view that China’s modern prosperity has been a threat to American workers, the happier truth is that it’s been a blessing. The division of labor is just another term for labor specialization. Just as automation has over time massively increased work productivity and the range of ways that humans could express their workplace talents, so has the entrance of hundreds of millions of humans into the global labor pool boosted productivity, and by extension, economic growth.

On the other hand, if suddenly China were to return to the command and control, collectivist policies that caused mass starvation in the country from the end of the WWII to the late 1970s, readers can rest assured that its exit from productive economic work would have a profoundly negative impact on the U.S. economy. U.S. equities would collapse too.

As Nobel Laureate Robert Mundell has long made plain, the only “closed economy” is the world economy. So much U.S. prosperity is a function of Chinese workers freeing U.S. workers from what they used to do, plus so much of it is a consequence of demand from Chinese workers for U.S. plenty. As is increasingly well known, Apple sells a 1/5th of its iPhones in China, it’s the second largest market for capitalist symbols Nike and McDonald’s, it’s the second largest box office for Hollywood. If China shuts down or goes communist in the collective sense, the pain will be substantial right here in the U.S.

Conversely, if the U.S. ever moves in a seriously collectivist direction, the subsequent global economic contraction will be brutal. In reality, we’ve seen a snapshot of this over the last several months. Thanks to the imposition of command-and-control policies in the U.S. that were a consequence of the lockdowns, economic growth plummeted in countries reliant on U.S. prosperity. Think Bangladesh, think El Salvador, think the Philippines. Even if all three countries had remained fully free amid global hysteria related to the virus, each would have been crushed by the economic errors made stateside.

Which brings us to Iowa. It was one of the states that didn’t lock down in response to the coronavirus. New York Times reporters Ben Casselman and Jim Tankersley have alerted their flock to a growth slowdown in the state despite. Supposedly Iowa’s economic struggles are a sign that lockdown opponents have overstated the impact of the latter on economic growth. No, they haven’t.

While it’s surely true that some businesses in Iowa chose (as Casselman and Tankersley make plain) to stay closed or to operate in limited capacity on their own, by their own admission the lack of lockdowns hasn’t been the same as a lack of rules. Though there weren’t lockdowns, there were and are restrictions that limit economic activity.

More important, it cannot be stressed enough that Iowa’s economy would have declined even if the state’s legislators hadn’t imposed any limits at all. To see why this is true, just re-read the opening paragraphs of this write-up.

Iowa isn’t just an economic portion of a U.S. whole, so it’s only natural that its economy would suffer the lockdown errors made in other states. Per Times reporter Patricia Cohen back in May, over 40 million American workers had filed for unemployment. Since Iowa is one of the U.S.’s “breadbaskets,” logic dictates that economic contraction elsewhere in the U.S. would harm Iowa much as contraction in China would harm the U.S. economy.

And then the loss of 40 million jobs would signal at least for a time, the exit of 80 million “hands” from the U.S. workforce. This is important when it’s remembered that even something as basic as the pencil is a consequence of global cooperation. Fewer workers means reduced productivity for workers overall because it means reduced labor division.

All of this in mind, the better way to address Iowa’s slow growth is to consider the unseen. How much more shrunken would the state’s economy be if the state had locked down in the way that California or New York had? That’s the more important measure.

In Cassleman and Tankersley’s case, their reporting on an economic slowdown in Iowa had a redundant quality. Naturally Iowa’s economy has contracted when it’s remembered that by April, a quarter of the U.S. economy was locked down, along with parts of the global economy. Slower growth was a given. One state or one country’s impoverishment doesn’t lift other states or countries; rather it impoverishes them in a relative sense.

That’s is so because wealth isn’t a fixed pie. Instead, wealth is created. And the more that labor is divided, the more economic growth overall.

In short, Casselman and Tankersley mis-spoke or mis-wrote. The lockdowns crushed the U.S. economy. Period. That they also infected the part of the U.S. and world not locked down was and is a statement of the obvious. The only “closed U.S. economy” is the U.S. economy.

CEO of Expensify Urges Customers to Vote for Biden or Risk Civil War Over Trump

David Barrett, the CEO of Expensify, sent an email Thursday to the company’s reported ten million customers urging them to vote for Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden or risk the possibility of a civil war over President Trump winning reelection.

Excerpt from Protocol article with comments from Barrett:

Expensify’s CEO explains how he made the decision to tell all his customers to vote for Biden

David Barrett is afraid. Afraid that President Trump is unraveling democracy before his eyes. Afraid for his business that depends on having a functioning economy. Afraid for the future and what comes next.

What he’s not afraid of is speaking up and telling his customers that they should vote for Joe Biden.

Barrett spoke to Protocol Thursday night to explain how he made the unusual decision, just 12 days before the election, to email the users of his expense tracking software to tell them that “anything less than a vote for Biden is a vote against democracy.”

“I think that it’s easy to justify standing aside,” he told Protocol. “But I believe standing aside and doing nothing is an endorsement of the status quo. It’s not choosing not to participate, it is taking a stand in defense of the status quo. And so internally, we said, ‘Hey, it would be easy to do nothing. Nobody would criticize us if we did nothing. But doing nothing doesn’t actually accomplish anything.’”

Barrett’s email equated a vote for Trump to an endorsement for voter suppression and the dismantling of democracy. “Expensify depends on a functioning society and economy; not many expense reports get filed during a civil war,” he wrote. “As CEO of this business, it’s my job to plot a course through any storm — and all evidence suggests that another four (or as Trump has hinted — eight, or more?) years of Trump leadership will damage our democracy to such an extent, I’m obligated on behalf of shareholders to take any action I can to avoid it.”

It was a calculated choice, Barrett said: While it may be risky, he knew that sending it to more people meant that the message could be more effective.

“This wasn’t just me firing off an email out of the blue,” he said. “This was the result of an inclusive process that really engaged the whole company across a wide range of opinions. And this is a genuine effort just to make the world a better place using the tools at our disposal.”

End excerpt. Please read the complete Protocol article at this link.

Subject: Protect democracy, vote for Biden.

I know you don’t want to hear this from me. And I guarantee I don’t want to say it. But we are facing an unprecedented attack on the foundations of democracy itself. If you are a US citizen, anything less than a vote for Biden is a vote against democracy.

That’s right, I’m saying a vote for Trump, a vote for a third-party candidate, or simply not voting at all — they’re all the same, and they all mean:

“I care more about my favorite issue than democracy. I believe Trump winning is more important than democracy. I am comfortable standing aside and allowing democracy to be methodically dismantled, in plain sight.”

If the polls are accurate, there’s a roughly 50% chance that you agree Trump needs to go. You know what to do: show up on November 3rd and vote for Biden. Or even better, don’t wait until then: vote today. Go to Vote.org if you need help figuring out how.

The rest of this email is intended to address the concerns of those who disagree, and I’ll try to take the most likely questions in turn:

Q: Why do you care so much about democracy?

Democracy is core to our business success, in a variety of ways. Internally, we are a famously “flat” organization — nobody reports to anyone else, and advancement is the result of meeting well defined criteria as judged by the vote of those who have already advanced. How we compensate each other is left up to a team vote as well. Even our external business model depends on individual employees “electing” to adopt Expensify as individuals, and then “campaigning” internally to get it adopted companywide. At every layer, democracy is our core competitive advantage — both as a company, and as a nation. But that advantage is only as strong as the clarity of our rules and the fairness of their application. Any attempt to disrupt the rules or apply them unfairly is a direct threat to the strength of our company, and the strength of our nation.

Q: What gives you the right to tell me what to do?

The first amendment. To be clear, you don’t need to listen. But the first amendment exists to encourage people like you and me to find some way to talk about the issues that matter, set aside our differences, and find a common ground on which to collectively govern 331 million citizens. Yes democratic self-rule can be inconvenient. But a burden of democracy is that this is literally our job, so I’m asking all of us to take it seriously.

Q: But you’re a company, shouldn’t you remain neutral?

Expensify depends on a functioning society and economy; not many expense reports get filed during a civil war. As CEO of this business, it’s my job to plot a course through any storm — and all evidence suggests that another 4 (or as Trump has hinted — 8, or more?) years of Trump leadership will damage our democracy to such an extent, I’m obligated on behalf of shareholders to take any action I can to avoid it. I am confident our democracy (and Expensify) can survive a Biden presidency. I can’t say the same about Trump. It’s truly as simple as that.

Q: Don’t you think you’re… exaggerating a bit?

I truly wish I was. I wouldn’t be sending this email if this election were just about “normal issues” — taxes, legislative priorities, healthcare, etc. But it isn’t. This election is a referendum on what limits, if any, we place on our elected leaders to govern us in a fair and representative way. This election will decide if widespread voter suppression is an acceptable governing tactic.

Q: Doesn’t everyone suppress votes?

Not like Trump. This is the most heavily litigated election in history, with over 300 lawsuits rushing through the courts before election day. And in every case, Biden is pushing to enable voters while Trump is pushing to suppress them. The trend couldn’t be more clear: Biden wants democracy, Trump does not. A vote for Trump is to endorse voter suppression, it really is very basic. This isn’t about party politics: if Biden were advocating for half of the voter suppression that Trump is actively doing, then I’d be fighting against Biden, too. This is bigger than politics as usual: this is about the very foundation of our nation.

Q: Isn’t Trump just trying to prevent voter fraud?

Voter fraud is virtually nonexistent, as overwhelmingly shown by data showcased by the White House itself. That data comes from the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank counting every single known case of voter fraud since 1948, which adds up to only 1,290 distinct votes over 78 years. In 2016 alone there were 138 million votes. There is just no credible argument that voter fraud is significant, even based on Trump’s own data.

Q: Isn’t Biden just using more widespread voting to get elected?

Absolutely. This is the heart of the issue. Biden believes that enabling more people to vote will help him win. Biden wins by promoting democracy; Trump wins by suppressing it. A vote for Biden is a vote for democracy.

Q: So what if Trump gets elected by voter suppression, all’s fair right?

Well that’s what we’re going to decide, on November 3rd. Do you want your elected official to win based on the merits of their ideas? Or based on the ruthlessness of their voter suppression? And if you’re ok with “just a little suppression” — where do you draw the line?

Q: Why send me this when the polls say Biden is going to win?

The polls said Trump was going to lose last time, and he didn’t. But even if the polls can be trusted, that might still not be enough. Trump has stated repeatedly he will only honor an election that he personally feels is fair. So much depending on his personal judgement is worrying, because he has rejected the overwhelming expert consensus that voter fraud has been negligible historically, and has also said he believes it would be impossible to lose a fair election. Accordingly, the only way to ensure a peaceful transition of power is to ensure this election is an overwhelming, undeniable landslide in favor of Biden. Any excuse to question the election is an opportunity for Trump to refuse to leave the White House, plunging this country into a Constitutional crisis bordering on civil war. No matter how slight that risk might be, the consequences of it happening would be so catastrophic to society and the economy, we need to do all we can to prevent it.

So one final plea. As a fellow citizen, I fully support and respect your Constitutional right to disagree — and as an avid supporter of democracy, I value that disagreement. Constructive, well-informed debate (hopefully using the most accurate, least biased news source available) is what makes this nation so exceptional.

But the Constitution is only as strong as the respect we give it. I’m asking you to cherish it close to your heart, and demand that those you elect do the same.

PS: Agree or disagree? Reply to this email to share your thoughts with Concierge, or hit me up on Twitter @dbarrett to discuss!

PPS: Want to do even more? Support the National Popular Vote to make every vote count equally toward the presidential election, even if you aren’t in one of the 12 states deciding this election.

PPPS: Are you annoyed that you received this as a non-US citizen? If you’re lucky enough to live in a democracy, then I’d encourage you to protect it and be willing to do uncomfortable things — like emailing millions of customers — to defend it.

Barrett said the statement was approved by a “group of top employees”, “Before sending it we had a long discussion, designed to be as inclusive and respectful as possible. In particular, we made a #factcheck Slack room where anyone can contest a factual claim and argue for/against it, then a group of top employees votes on our official opinion.”

Unhappy client says Expensify replied with an insult when he cancelled his subscription, “To clarify, are you leaving because you dislike democracy and don’t want to defend it? Or is there something else?”

Screen grab of more unhappy customers:

Angry customers.

It’s clearly a marketing move, what’s happening is customers supporting no-vote or Trump are leaving, maybe some that support Biden but don’t like invasion of privacy.

Then the flip side is some biden supporters are saying they’ll do more business with them. pic.twitter.com/3TTzmTizQL

An unhappy customer posts the link to cancel Expensify accounts.

So… Anybody else get that @expensify email saying we’ll have a civil war if Biden isn’t elected. I got it. Wacko. We’ll be canceling our @expensify subscription today. Here’s FAQ on how you can do it, too: https://t.co/D46fNzATcy

Report: Socialist Bernie Sanders Is Eyeing Labor Secretary Position with Joe Biden — The Bum Who Didn’t Earn His First Steady Paycheck Til He Was 40

According to Politico Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders is making a push to be nominated as labor secretary in a Joe Biden administration.

As Socialist Bernie Sanders campaigns for the job as Labor Secretary here is a good reminder of this man’s shameful jobs record.

* * * * * * * * * *

Bernie Sanders was a bum who didn’t earn a steady paycheck until he was 40 years old. He was a slob who lived in a shack with a dirt floor. He later wrote about masturbation and rape for left-wing rags for $50 a story. The Socialist then wormed his way into politics.
bernie sanders
Bernie had his electricity cut off a lot so he’d run an extension cord down to the basement. He couldn’t pay his bills.

And today he’s running for president so he can take your money and redistribute it.
Investor’s Business Daily reported:

Sanders spent most of his life as an angry radical and agitator who never accomplished much of anything. And yet now he thinks he deserves the power to run your life and your finances — “We will raise taxes;” he confirmed Monday, “yes, we will.”

One of his first jobs was registering people for food stamps, and it was all downhill from there.

Sanders took his first bride to live in a maple sugar shack with a dirt floor, and she soon left him. Penniless, he went on unemployment. Then he had a child out of wedlock. Desperate, he tried carpentry but could barely sink a nail. “He was a shi**y carpenter,” a friend told Politico Magazine. “His carpentry was not going to support him, and didn’t.”

Then he tried his hand freelancing for leftist rags, writing about “masturbation and rape” and other crudities for $50 a story. He drove around in a rusted-out, Bondo-covered VW bug with no working windshield wipers. Friends said he was “always poor” and his “electricity was turned off a lot.” They described him as a slob who kept a messy apartment — and this is what his friends had to say about him.

The only thing he was good at was talking … non-stop … about socialism and how the rich were ripping everybody off. “The whole quality of life in America is based on greed,” the bitter layabout said. “I believe in the redistribution of wealth in this nation.”

So he tried politics, starting his own socialist party. Four times he ran for Vermont public office, and four times he lost — badly. He never attracted more than single-digit support — even in the People’s Republic of Vermont. In his 1971 bid for U.S. Senate, the local press said the 30-year-old “Sanders describes himself as a carpenter who has worked with ‘disturbed children.’ ” In other words, a real winner.

He finally wormed his way into the Senate in 2006, where he still ranks as one of the poorest members of Congress. Save for a municipal pension, Sanders lists no assets in his name. All the assets provided in his financial disclosure form are his second wife’s. He does, however, have as much as $65,000 in credit-card debt.

Sure, Sanders may not be a hypocrite, but this is nothing to brag about. His worthless background contrasts sharply with the successful careers of other “outsiders” in the race for the White House, including a billionaire developer, a world-renowned neurosurgeon and a Fortune 500 CEO.

The choice in this election is shaping up to be a very clear one. It will likely boil down to a battle between those who create and produce wealth, and those who take it and redistribute it.

So it only makes sense that Democrats would look to Bernie to be their leader.

Debate Recap: Joe Biden Denies He Said “Ban Fracking” – Then Promises to End the Entire Oil Industry

Last night was a disaster for Joe Biden and Democrats.

Joe’s collapse will affect the Democrat Party’s plans to steal close races with absentee and mail-in ballots.

Here are two points that significantly hurt China Joe’s chances in the November election.

1.) Joe Biden claimed he never said he was going to “ban fracking.”
He told Trump to look it up.

Trump did just that.

Here you go @JoeBiden! pic.twitter.com/UBqPJT85Pt

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 23, 2020

2.) Joe Biden then claimed he would end the oil industry entirely — not just fracking.
Because the world only has 10 years.

Joe is a perfect representative of today’s Democrat Party.

Biden denied saying he’d end fracking…

…and then said he’d end the ENTIRE U.S. OIL INDUSTRY?#Debates2020

Our COVID-19 Plan would Minimize Mortality and Lockdown-induced Collateral Damage

good idea

Current COVID-19 lockdowns protect low-risk college students and young professional bankers, attorneys, journalists, scientists and others who can work from home, while older high-risk working-class people are risking their lives building the population immunity that will eventually protect us all.

While mortality is inevitable during a pandemic, the COVID-19 lockdown strategy has led to more than 220,000 deaths, with the urban working class carrying the heaviest burden. Many older workers have been forced to accept high mortality risk or increased poverty, or both. While the current lockdowns are less strict than in March, the lockdown and contact tracing strategy is the worst assault on the working class since segregation and the Vietnam War.

Lockdown policies have closed schools, businesses and churches, while not enforcing strict protocols to protect high-risk nursing home residents. University closures and the economic displacement caused by lockdowns have led millions of young adults to live with older parents, increasing regular close interactions across generations.

The “Focused Protection” plan in the Great Barrington Declaration would minimize both COVID-19 mortality and lockdown-induced collateral damage on other health outcomes. In line with pre-2020 pandemic preparedness plans, the declaration calls for better protecting the old and other high-risk groups, for whom COVID-19 is more dangerous than influenza.

By contrast, for children, COVID-19 is less dangerous than influenza. Children and low-risk young adults should be allowed to live near normal lives as they face greater medical, psychological and economic harms from lockdowns than from COVID-19. Immunity among low-risk young adults could also shorten the length of the pandemic, making it easier for older people to protect themselves.

Denying in-person teaching to students is harmful to their education and physical and mental health, with working-class children hardest hit. Online schooling puts a disproportional burden on our children, despite their own minimal risk.

For ages 1 to 15, Sweden kept day care and schools open throughout the height of the pandemic, and among the 1.8 million children of that age, there were zero COVID-19 deaths without masks used or physical distancing. Neither was there any excess risk for in-person teachers compared with the average of other professions.

Some argue that it is impossible to separate older and younger generations. While 100% separation is impossible, lockdowns have “successfully” shifted infection risk from the professional class to the working class and nursing home residents.

It is no more challenging to shift infection risk from high-mortality-risk older people to low-mortality-risk younger adults, including the young bankers, attorneys, journalists and scientists who are now protected.
